The hotel is tucked away in an interesting Hutong area, giving it a unique and authentic charm. It's located on a quiet alley, ensuring a peaceful and serene stay. Plus, it's very close to the subway station, making it convenient to explore the city.
No improvements needed, everything was great.

Personel was really nice and the leady at the reception desk spoke very good english. She was also quite helpful. Furniture and design were nice. Great restaurant at Andingmen Street (near the hotel). There was WiFi in rooms which worked quite well. Metro Station about 700m from the hotel.
Very small courtyard (and restaurant). Very thin walls (not for a honeymoon for sure). Food ok, but quite expensive and small portions. The street with entrance stinks. For tourists I would recommend something nearer to the center of the city. I wouldn't give 4*. It is more like 3*.

Funny place in the middle of hutongs. Nice courtyard and friendly staff.
Quite noisy because all the rooms are in the courtyard. Rooms very small. When leaving to the airport, better take taxi on your own because the hotel ask you for a fixe price of 150 yuan, which is very expensive!

Imperial Courtyard is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of an alley in the Hutong area. The hotel's traditional Chinese decor adds a unique touch to the rooms, and the windows opening onto the internal courtyard provide a peaceful atmosphere. The location is perfect, as it is very close to the subway station, making it convenient to explore the city. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the basic amenities are well-maintained. Additionally, the complimentary breakfast includes a surprising treat: baked beans!
All aspects of this hotel exceeded my expectations.

Terry (desk clerk) was extremely helpful, and very pleasant. Went out of his way to make sure I got on my way safely to the airport when I left.
Hard to find, even for my taxi driver. Perhaps something more could be said on the website to warn us to print a map.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! The location was perfect, with easy access to transportation and plenty of bars and shops in the surrounding area. The hotel facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We especially appreciated the English-speaking staff member who helped us navigate the city. The hotel is also conveniently located under the trees, providing a nice respite from the bustling city.
Couldn't stay longer.

Beautiful traditional decor and great service. The location was very convenient and close to public transportation. The room was comfortable and had complimentary snacks and toiletries. The courtyard was a great place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the area. Also loved that the hotel offered local tours and transportation options.
The bathroom was a bit small and could have been cleaner. The hotel was difficult to find at first and could use better signage. Additionally, the walls were thin and noise from other guests could be heard at times. a great option for a romantic escape with unique decor, friendly staff, and convenient location.

Staff was really helpful. Nice old house in a typical hutong area. I personally loved the location (although a bit difficult to find the first time). Still, I rated the location as "fair" because I think most travelers would want to be a bit closer to the bars/shops area.
The rooms with windows towards the hallway, on the ground floor, don't have much privacy. You can hear everything going on in the reception area, even if the staff is very nice and quiet. Other guests were quiet too, but I didn't want to take the chance and moved to one of the rooms upstairs.
